CIS promotes transparent, participatory governance through civic education, leadership development, and capacity building for community leaders. We formed strategic partnerships with government entities tailored to address issues like human capacity development, civic education, accountability, and citizen engagement. Our work with the city of Monrovia includes developing staff capacity, a guest directory, a city foundation to supplement fundraising, a community mediation hub for facilitated discussions or mediations and environmental education centering waste management in Monrovia Consolidated School Systems (MCSS).

We also worked to Develop the Requirements for an Automated Asset Declaration and Verification System for the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC). Working along with the LACC team, CIS provided technical expertise in preparing the process for the implementation of firms that will build the system to ensure accountability across government agencies.
